I can vouch that the Xscape Entertainment Centre is certainly worth a visit. I've been twice now and each time has been just as fun as the first. Scarborough is a great seaside resort, along with Bridlington and Hornsea Freeport. Hornsea Freeport… Ever been? Shame on you if you haven’t!

An absolute fantastic seaside resort! So under-rated it’s un-true. I went on recommendation after reading places to visit in Yorkshire, as I’ve been living in Yorkshire most of my life. A lot of places on the list I’d already done, and then I saw a great review about Hornsea Freeport; ‘a small and cosy seaside resort which makes a great and cheap day out with the family.’ And that’s exactly what it was.

So much to do there including Honeysuckle Farm which the kids loved! Hornsea Mere, an absolute gem of scenery, and the best fish and chips I have had in my life!

This is my recommendation, you’d be daft to ignore it!

We started the trip by visiting Honey Suckle farm where the children petted the animals, learned about farm life, sampled the delicious home-made ice cream and have played in the indoor fun area. We ended the day with an hour at the beach, where we enjoyed a stroll along the seafront, enjoyed fish and chips and made sand castles. A really fun and cheap weekend, and I would recommend for any family to go to Hornsea and enjoy a great day like I did. I had a great day out in Hornsea Freeport this past weekend with the family.
